I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Matthew. His training and advice have had a profound impact on my six-year-old bully. She now walks on a leash without pulling me down and interacts with strangers in a friendly manner. Her behavior has undergone a significant transformation. Matthew Moore has successfully debunked the myth that you can't teach an old dog new tricks!

So thankful for Matt and Tarin at DogMoore. I was overwhelmed trying to learn how to train my first 'big dog' and they moved mountains. We did a 6 week training course and it was perfect! She has all her basic commands down and turned into an amazing dog that listens! When I am out walking her or take her places people are amazed at how well behaved she is.

I did an e-collar/off-leash training class with DogMoore and it was amazing! I had a very defiant and mischievous 1 year old border collie mix who is now an amazing listener. He can run and play without the restrictions of a leash now that I know he won't ever be going into the street.

Why In-Home Dog Training Works Better

Most behavioral problems don't happen in a training facility — they happen at your front door, in your kitchen, and on your daily walk route. That's exactly why in-home dog training in Nashville, TN produces faster, more lasting results than facility-based programs.

When Matthew Moore comes to your home, he sees your dog in their natural environment. The jumping that happens when guests arrive. The barking triggered by the neighbor's dog walking past. The counter-surfing that drives you crazy during dinner prep. These behaviors can't be replicated in a sterile training room — they need to be addressed where they actually occur.

Our in-home training program is designed for dog owners across Nashville, Spring Hill, Pulaski, and the surrounding Nashville, TN communities who want professional results without the stress of transporting their dog to a facility. Every session takes place in your home and neighborhood, using your furniture, your doorbell, and your daily routine as training tools.

This approach is especially effective for dogs with anxiety, fear-based behaviors, or aggression toward strangers — issues that often worsen in unfamiliar environments. By training at home, we keep stress levels low while building confidence in the exact situations that matter most.

What Your Dog Learns in Our Nashville In-Home Program

Every in-home training plan at DogMoore is customized based on your dog's specific behavioral challenges and your goals as an owner. Our standard in-home program covers comprehensive obedience and real-world behavior skills that make daily life genuinely enjoyable.

Foundation obedience: Sit, down, stay, come, place, and heel — trained to reliability with increasing distractions in your home environment. Your dog will respond to commands the first time, not the fifth.

Leash manners: We practice walking in your actual neighborhood, past the exact distractions your dog encounters daily. No more pulling, lunging, or zigzagging — just calm, enjoyable walks on a loose leash.

House manners: Counter surfing, door bolting, jumping on guests, begging at the table, couch rules — we address the specific household behaviors that cause daily frustration.

Behavior modification: Reactivity to other dogs, fear of strangers, resource guarding, separation anxiety, and other behavioral challenges are best addressed in the environment where they occur. We create specific protocols for your dog's triggers.

Puppy foundations: For new puppies in Nashville and Nashville, TN, in-home sessions cover house training, crate training, bite inhibition, socialization guidance, and establishing household rules from day one.

Sessions run 60 minutes and most clients see significant improvement within 4-6 sessions. Matthew provides clear homework between sessions and is available for questions via text or phone throughout the training process.

The DogMoore In-Home Training Process

Our in-home training program follows a proven structure that has helped hundreds of Nashville and Nashville, TN families transform their dogs' behavior.

Free consultation: We start with a conversation about your dog, your goals, and your daily routine. This can be done over the phone or during the first in-home visit. There's no pressure and no obligation — just an honest assessment of how we can help.

First session — Assessment and quick wins: Matthew observes your dog's behavior in your home, identifies the highest-priority issues, and delivers immediate techniques you can start using that day. Most clients see behavioral improvements after the very first session.

Customized training plan: Based on the assessment, we create a structured plan with clear milestones. You'll know exactly what we're working toward, which tools we'll use, and how we'll measure progress.

Weekly sessions: Each session builds on the previous one, introducing new skills while reinforcing and proofing earlier learning. We adjust the plan based on your dog's progress and any new challenges that arise.

Homework and support: Between sessions, you practice the skills we've covered with clear, specific instructions. Matthew is available for questions and troubleshooting between sessions — you're never on your own.

Graduation and ongoing support: When your training goals are met, we provide a final session focused on maintenance strategies and long-term success. Follow-up sessions are available anytime you need a refresher. We serve dog owners throughout Nashville, Spring Hill, Pulaski, Lawrenceburg, and the greater Nashville, TN area.
